MVCC Musicals Production Team

Shari Carter
Executive Director/Producer
With over 20 years of experience singing in community choirs and solos, Shari brings a lifelong love of music to every production. She has served as the President and Director of the Morgan Valley Children’s Choir for the past 7 years, helping young voices grow in both confidence and talent. She spent a year teaching Kindergarten music at Mountain Green Elementary and continues to stay active in the local music scene as the Soprano Section Leader for the Morgan Chamber Choir and a dedicated member of the Morgan Community Choir. Her favorite part of directing is watching kids light up on stage as they discover the magic of musical theater.

Crystal Cahoon
Assistant Producer
Crystal has always had a deep love for music—singing in school and church choirs and playing the piano since the age of eight. She has taught piano lessons for over 24 years and finds great joy in sharing music with others. Her daughter has been part of MVCC for several years, and after watching her perform, Crystal began accompanying the choir and now serves as Assistant Producer for MVCC Musicals. She loves helping children grow their confidence and love for music. Crystal and her husband are raising their two amazing kids in her childhood home in Morgan, surrounded by family.

Christy Rolfe
Director
Christy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in performance and a Minor in Dance. She treasures the creative expression, collaboration, and energy that the performing arts bring to both the stage and everyday life.
Alongside her performance background, Christy has developed a deep love for education. She works as a SPED paraprofessional. In this position, she has supported students from kindergarten through 9th grade, finding great joy in helping children grow, overcome challenges, and discover their potential.
Christy is honored to direct both productions this season and is incredibly grateful to the Morgan Valley Children's Choir for the opportunity.

Kayli Sorensen
Assistant Director
Kayli is thrilled to help bring musicals to MES and MMS students. She currently serves as Secretary/Director of the Morgan Valley Children’s Choir. A Morgan native, Kayli fell in love with theater in 4th grade during the MHS production of The Sound of Music and has since been involved in over 20 plays and musicals, including her recent role as Adella in The Little Mermaid. Known to many students as “Mrs. Kay,” she has worked with hundreds of children in the Morgan School District over the past five years. After directing the children's choir for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at MHS, she's excited to continue to help younger students shine on stage.

Rachel Cordiero
Music Director
Since my daughter joined the choir, I volunteered to accompany during rehearsals. I love to play the piano and also help the children learn their parts. It's so fun to see it all come together as they gain confidence. This year I will also be directing.

Cassidy Bunker
Choreographer
My daughter and I love to sing and dance. I grew up dancing in my mother's dance studio. I have taken lessons my whole life and love to be on stage! When I'm not singing and dancing, I'm being a mom to 6 awesome kids. We have been heavily involved in the MVCC since it's beginnings. I love to choreograph the numbers and construct the performances for concerts.
